Obtained degree in Medicine and Surgery. Experimental thesis: "Host-parasite interaction in Rapidly Progressive Periodontitis (RPP). A Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) study."

Licensed for practice of Medicine and Surgery and inscribed in the Professional Roster for Physicians, Surgeons and Dental Surgeons of the Province of Milan, as N° 25869.

Entered the three-year training course of the School of Specialization in Odontostomatology of the University of Milan, in the Department of Clinical Dentistry, Chairman: Prof. Giorgio Vogel.

Received Diploma of Specialist in Odontostomatology from the University of Milan, with honors. Thesis: "Immunological aspects of periodontitis."

In the United States, at Tufts University and the Forsyth Dental Center, Boston; State University of New York, Buffalo, and the laboratories of the Colgate Palmolive Technological Research Center, Piscataway, New Jersey.

Taught sections of the course of Clinical Odontostomatology, under the direction of Prof. Giorgio Vogel, at the School of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan.

Obtained the provisional post of Assistant Professor in the Odontostomatological Service at the Hospital San Paolo, Milan.

This position became permanent.

Instructor of Periodontology and head of the Clinical Department of Restorative Dentistry in the School of Specialization in Odontostomatology of the University of Milan and collaborator with Dr. Fabio Toffenetti in the program of introductory studies of Restorative Dentistry with simulators. In the same period taught the first and second year students in the School of Specialization in Odontostomatology and the fourth and fifth year students in the Course for the Degree in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis.

Since 1983, in addition to his clinical activities, has carried out research at the Department of Dentistry at the Institute of Biomedical  Sciences of the Hospital San Paolo, both clinical and basic. His publications have dealt mainly with periodontology, implantology, oral pathology, techniques for preparation and diagnosis of both soft and mineralized oral tissues, restorative  dentistry  and  dental  materials.

Resigned from the Service of Odontostomatology at Hospital San Paolo and teaching and research activities in the Second School of Specialization in Odonto-stomatology of the University of Milan.

His private practice in his office in Galleria Passarella 2 Milan, is restricted to periodontics and oral implants  and collaborates as consultant with qualified clinics in Italy and abroad and with the office of Dr. Mario Molina in Novara (since 1993).
